Why You Left Your Last Job: After making it through 3, 4, 5 rounds of layoffs (I can't even remember there were so many) I decided to leave my steady paycheck at the LA Daily News before the axe fell.

How You Started Your Business: In January of this year I launched BargainBabe.com, which helps folks save money on everyday expenses like groceries, gasoline and meals out. I left the paper because I knew my future would be brighter online and so far that is true.

I syndicate my content, sell advertising, and have gotten a significant amount of media attention. NBC 4 did a two-minute segment on me about a week ago! BargainBabe.com has been mentioned in the Washington Post and the Detroit Press.

What Does Success Mean To You: I am a cheapskate by nature and a journalist by training. I believe in getting great deals every day because when you do the math, the little purchases – lunch out, a new top, a tank of gas - really add up. Likewise, I believe in socking away my everyday savings to reach my goals - buying a home in the next five years and retiring near the ocean. I work towards my goals - and yours - by combining the best savvy-spending advice and personal finance tips.
