Why You Left Your Last Job:   For 5 years, I was a computer trainer (one of 4) for an international law firm. A new training manager -- who had never been a trainer before -- was hired in 2006. Within 18 months he hired 8 new trainers who accepted and bowed to his every word.  The veteran trainers had their jobs either "restructured" or were laid off. In January 2007, I was one of those that were laid off (I was told not by him but HR).  For almost my entire tenure at the law firm,  I was tired of being at the behest of others. I was drawn to coaching and helping others. I had done research on the best coaching school in NYC.  I had signed up to the Open Center's Coaching for Transformation class. I became a certified life coach in 2007. I haven't looked back.

How You Started Your Business:    The wonderful Coaching for Transformation program I attended had us coaching our peers immediately.  Part of the course was about business development.  So I was able to develop my own business acumen. I began coaching a few of my peers and then a few referrals.  I immediately created a website -- not the best first step! At first, I didn't have scores of new clients beating down my door.  Not until I started speaking in front of groups, facilitating workshops, and instructing teleclasses/webinars did I begin to acquire more and more clients.  People got to know me, like me, and trust me.  My coaching services expanded exponentially!  I know love to guide up-and-coming small business people who want to take their businesses to the next level.  I truly enjoy what I do!

What Does Success Mean To You:  Freedom in my personal life, schedule of events, and business.  Working with someone to the culmination of their dreams.  This helps me to do the same thing in my life.
