Why You Left Your Last Job:   The handwriting was on the wall in 2007.  The Mortgage Industry which had been kind to me for many years was going thru a major meltdown and many of us in middle management were headed for layoffs.  This actually came at a good time for me as the job had ceased to be challenging and fun.  But what to do next?  I still wanted to produce an income and I still wanted a challenge and I still had a lot to offer others.

How You Started Your Business:  Fortunately my company provided me with outplacement services which led to my learning about the One Stop Business and Career Center, East Bay Works and ultimately SBDC and New Venture Training.  What a find.  I knew I wanted to start my own company but I wasn’t sure that I understood enough about being self employed and being solely responsible for all the goes into making a business successful and profitable.
